Located on the grounds of the National University of the Littoral in the city and province of Santa Fe in northeastern Argentina, our site sits on the banks of the Paraná River. Adjacent to a nature reserve, the study area is a seasonally flooded marsh/woodland. Summers can be extremely hot and wet.

We are studying the White-rumped Swallow (Tachycineta leucorrhoa). Nest boxes were first erected in 2000 by Martin Quiroga. There are about 110 nest boxes in the study area. In 2011, we have a study team working at Santa Fe.
